The highly anticipated 4th Edition release from Danvm Dry Gin - Doncaster Railway (The Plant) Works - Steam Locomotive Edition. 

90 bottles of the 1st distillation (Batch #1) will be made available from a tightly-cut run of just x100 bottles. 

Each bottle is hand-numbered (No's 11-100), as well as hand-signed by Patrick Stirling, Great Grandson of the late Patrick Stirling - the first Locomotive Superintendent at The Plant between 1886 and 1895.

A £5 donation from the sale of each bottle will be made to volunteer group Friends of Hyde Park Cemetery, who maintain the site where the late Patrick Stirling is buried, along with so many other noteworthy individuals connected with Doncaster's historic locomotive industry.

The limited number of bottles will be available via The Badger Web Store, as well as in-store at Badger Pantry, The Hive, YWP Doncaster DN9 3QY (from 10am Saturday 11th November 2023).

Based on the award-winning London dry recipe, this 4th Edition takes on a smoked style with the addition of Lap Sang and coriander seeds smoked at the famous Yorkshire-based Staal Smokehouse.

The production version of this edition will be released later next year.

Known locally as ‘The Plant', Doncaster Railway Works was established by the Great Northern Railway in 1853. Locomotive Superintendents included Patrick Stirling (1886-1895), Henry Ivatt (1895-1911) & Sir Nigel Gresley (1911-1923).

Among the locomotives produced were the Stirling Singles, the Ivatt Atlantics & the Gresley Pacifics, including the world-famous No.4472 Flying Scotsman (the 1st authenticated steam loco to achieve 100mph) & No.4468 Mallard (world's fastest steam loco @126mph).

Smoked in style, Doncaster Railway Works - Steam Locomotive Edition, is traditionally distilled in small batches using a copper alembic still.

Doncaster natural spring water, honey & lavender are skilfully balanced with Lap Sang & carefully selected classic & smoked botanicals, resulting in a superbly smooth, versatile & refreshing gin with a smoky finish.
